Definition

Proliferation of a fibrovascular nodule arising from an ACL graft.

Clinical features

2 to 20% of ACL reconstructions, on average at 4 months postoperatively.
Loss of extension after ACL reconstruction.

MRI

Well-defined nodule of intermediate PD signal in the intercondylar notch extending to Hoffa's fat pad, anterior to the graft.
Enhancement after contrast injection.
