Definition

Pallister-Hall syndrome is an autosomal dominant malformation syndrome characterized by:

  • a hypothalamic hamartoma (or tuber cinereum hamartoma),
  • pituitary dysfunction,
  • a bifid epiglottis,
  • polydactyly,
  • +/- renal abnormalities and genitourinary malformations.

Brain MRI: diencephalic hamartoma, classically small in size
