Definition
Wrist pain syndrome caused by shortening of the distal ulna with degenerative changes of the distal radioulnar joint proximal to the sigmoid notch of the radius.
Most common etiologies:
- degenerative
- post-traumatic, with involvement of the triangular fibrocartilage complex and ulnolunate impaction related to reversal of the radioulnar index.
Radiography
Geodes of the distal ulna and the adjacent radius
Negative ulnar variance
+/- Sequela of radius fracture
