Usual locations:
- duodenum (30-35% of cases): CDAP
- stomach (30% of cases)
- jejunum (jejunum 15% of cases)
- other exceptional sites
Clinical features
Related to potential complications (identical to those of the "normal" pancreatic gland).
CT
Density and post-contrast enhancement identical to the normal pancreatic gland.
Particular form: CDAP (cystic dystrophy on aberrant pancreas):
- duodenal wall thickening
- small cysts within the duodenal wall
- swelling of the pancreatic head
- extrinsic-appearing narrowing of the superior and medial portion of D2.
MRI
Signal and enhancement identical to that of the "normal" pancreatic gland.
Differential diagnosis
