Anglo-Saxon classification:
I- Extramedullary vascular malformations:
_ 1- Dural lesion: single or multiple: DAVF: Type I
_ 2- Extradural lesions: isolated or associated
II- Spinal cord vascular malformations:
_ 1- Single lesion:
- intramedullary: AVM: Type II
- perimedullary: AVF: Type IV
_ 2- Multiple lesion:
- metameric: Cobb syndrome Type III
- non-metameric: Rendu-Osler disease
French classification:
I- Intracanalar arteriovenous malformation
_ 1- Intramedullary AVM
_ 2- Perimedullary AVF (type I, II, III according to flow)
_ 3- SDAVF
_ 4- Epidural AVM
II- Vertebral vascular malformations
_ 1- angiomas
_ 2- hemangiomas
III- Paravertebral vascular malformations
IV- Complex angiomatoses
