Definition
Nontumoral proliferation of adipose tissue present in the renal sinus.
It is observed with long-term corticosteroid therapy, in obese patients, or with normal renal senescence.
Ultrasound
The largest sinus dimension becomes clearly greater than half the kidney height (sinus L / kidney L > 0.5)
Differential diagnosis
Parenchymal extension of the sinus fat
