- coronary arteriovenous fistula, between a coronary artery and a vein
CT
Coronary CT angiography with cardiac gating: noninvasive method of choice for distinguishing between the different types of coronary artery fistula
- Coronary-cameral fistula: a coronary artery communicates with a cardiac chamber. Origin: right coronary artery (55%), circumflex artery (35%)
- Termination: right ventricle (41%), right atrium (26%), left-sided chambers (3-5%)
- Other fistula types: fistula between a coronary artery and the pulmonary artery
- Fistula between a coronary artery and a cardiac sinus or vein
- Fistula between a coronary artery and a bronchial artery
- Complex coronary artery fistula, with multiple origins and/or terminations communicating in a complex fashion
