Definition

Rupture of the inferior glenohumeral ligament may result from:

- avulsion at its humeral insertion (HAGL), sometimes associated with avulsion of a bone fragment (Bony-HAGL)

- avulsion at its glenoid insertion

- a mid-substance tear

Clinical features

Secondary to anteroinferior glenohumeral dislocation, an inferior glenohumeral dislocation is observed
