Definition
Rare pulmonary tumor accounting for 0.7% of lung neoplasms, the definitive diagnosis of which is immunohistologic
Radiography
Variable and nonspecific manifestations.
Pulmonary nodule or mass (1-6 cm), generally solitary, rarely multiple (5%).
Margins well-defined or lobulated.
Lesion more often peripheral with a predilection for the lower lobes.
CT
Heterogeneous nodule or mass with variable contrast enhancement, solid or cystic.
Contributes to loco-regional staging.
Calcification and cavitation are rare.
Pleural effusion (occasionally).
Hilar, mediastinal, pleural, or diaphragmatic extension may occur.
