Definition
Midtarsal - Chopart - joint sprain corresponds to a sprain between the hindfoot and forefoot.
The Chopart joint comprises the calcaneocuboid joint and the talonavicular joint.
It is stabilized by:
- the spring ligament,
- the talonavicular ligament
- the bifurcate ligament
- the dorsal and inferior calcaneocuboid ligaments (of lesser importance)
