Definition

Benign cartilaginous tumor typically epiphyseal or apophyseal, occurring in young patients

Clinical features

< 20 years

Male predilection

MRI

Epiphyseal or metaphyseal-epiphyseal tumor, hypointense on T1, hyperintense on T2, with contrast enhancement.

Perilesional and soft tissue edema +++

Possible cortical breakthrough

Possible fluid-fluid levels (coexistence with aneurysmal bone cyst)
