Definition
A fairly common cancer (third most common digestive cancer)
and the sixth leading cause of cancer death. It carries a very poor prognosis.
Clinical features
Dysphagia is often the presenting symptom and is frequently associated with general deterioration, supraclavicular lymphadenopathy, or recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy.
CT
Areas of focal wall thickening with or without ulceration, presenting as a flat or polypoid lesion or as extensive wall thickening.
