Definition
Organized intraparenchymal pulmonary collection
CT
Single consolidation-type opacity, in a dependent, posterior territory, with ill-defined margins or possibly associated with fissural bulging due to mass effect.
An air-fluid level subsequently appears within the opacity.
A retractile scar may persist after treatment, sometimes associated with bronchiectasis.
